BEN MAJOR BVSc MRCVS - VETERINARY SURGEON

I graduated from Bristol vet school in 2007 and started work in a mixed practice on the south coast by the New Forest. My main interests, however, are in small animal medicine and surgery so I moved to a small animal practice in Fleet in 2009. I recently moved to Pangbourne and started working at Goring at the beginning of 2011.

When away from the practice, I play hockey in Reading throughout the winter then dust off the tennis racquet in the summer. When settled in Pangbourne I am hoping to get a dog of my own who will enjoy the lovely walks in the area as much as I do!

EMMA ROCKER RVN - VETERINARY NURSE

I am a nurse at the Goring surgery, I qualified as a nurse in 1998 and have been working here
since July 2005. For as long as I remember, I have loved all animals although my first love and
hobby is horses and I ride my friend's two horses at any opportunity. I began my nursing career as an equine nurse although now I prefer to work with small furry animals and have less injuries!! I have two rescue cats called Smartie and Marmite, and also two guinea pigs called Oreo and Custard Cream at home to keep me busy in my spare time. I enjoy working in a small village practice as I have been able to get to know a great number of clients and their pets very well over the years.

ROS ALLEN VN - VETERINARY NURSE
I qualified as a veterinary nurse many years ago. I have worked with dogs, cats, dairy cows and horses all my life. One of the features of my job which I particularly enjoy is helping clients with basic behavioural and practical aspects of pet ownership. I have two lurchers, Womble and Miakat, both rescue dogs. I also have a varied assortment of cats and run a Kitten Academy. This really means I take on unfortunate and unwanted kittens and provide them with a finishing school from where they can go out into the world as confident and happy cats.
